Sound Therapy

How sound works its magic
Sound Therapy is used as a tool for relaxation. Once you are in a relaxed theta state healing can occur. Sound is used to clear and align the chakras and auric field. Sound works its magic on all levels of our subtle bodies. To explain further using the emotional body as an example; have you noticed how films use music to to work you up to a frenzy before something happens. Or makes you feel really sad, happy etc to go with the visual effects?
Sound Therapy
Sound in therapy is used on our subtle bodies very much like a tuning fork, to assist our emotional and mental states that are out of alignment back to a state of wellbeing. During therapy you will lay on a couch or sit in a chair if that is more comfortable for you.
I have been trained to use voice, Tibetan bowls, crystal bowls and percussion instruments. These may be used individually or as a set technique depending on needs. For therapy I will use a set technique first using Tibetan bowls, then voice, next crystal bowls and finally percussion instruments to bring your awareness back to the room.
Voice Work
This is used individually or as a group. Group voice work is very empowering. Its amazing how so many of us shy away from using our voices as we either think we can't sing or have been told as a child that we can't. You don't have to be able to sing to do voice work. Practicing with the voice brings confidence. Practicing as a group feels easier than individually to start with, then progress to a one to one basis if required. With this comes breath work, so it is also good for the lungs and relaxation. When you use your voice you are also working on your throat chakra the sounds you produce are then filtered through to the other chakras.

Each chakra corresponds to a particular musical note and vowel sound. Vowel sounds are used with the voice to shift blockages in the chakras and auric field.
